For some people, eating unhealthy foods is a result of not knowing which ones are good or bad for them. As an example is misconception about food. We are all guilty of having a nice cheese or an handful of chocolates. Because these food are seen as calorific or bad for us in large quantities. As the result of this, we tend to only have them on special occasions.
For others, it may be a primary emotional coping mechanism. Someone fills and kills stress, anger, boredom, loneliness, or something else with food. Remember no matter the emotion, having love affair with foods filled with fat, salt, and sugar is not a solution. A diet high in processed foods and low in vegetables has been associated with depression, whereas a diet high in fresh produce has been linked to an improvement in mental health.
Based on the explanation above, should we eat more vegetables?
There's clearly a long list of reasons to add more vegetables into our diet.
Eating vegetables provides health benefits – people who eat more vegetables and fruits as part of an overall healthy diet are likely to have a reduced risk of some chronic diseases. Vegetables provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of your body.
Most vegetables are naturally low in fat and calories. None have cholesterol. On the contrary, sauces or seasonings may add fat, calories, and/ or cholesterol.
Vegetables are important sources of many nutrients, including potassium, dietary fiber, folate (folic acid), vitamin A, and vitamin C. Diets rich in potassium may help to maintain healthy blood pressure.
Vegetable sources of potassium include sweet potatoes, white potatoes, white beans, tomato products (paste, sauce, and juice), beet greens, soybeans, lima beans, spinach, lentils, and kidney beans.
Dietary fiber from vegetables, as part of an overall healthy diet, helps reduce blood cholesterol levels and may lower risk of heart disease. Fiber is important for proper bowel function. It helps reduce constipation and diverticulosis. Fiber-containing foods such as vegetables help provide a feeling of fullness with fewer calories.
Folate (folic acid) helps the body form red blood cells. Women of childbearing age who may become pregnant should consume adequate folate from foods, and in addition 400 mcg of synthetic folic acid from fortified foods or supplements. This reduces the risk of neural tube defects, spina bifida, and anencephaly during fetal development.
Vitamin A keeps eyes and skin healthy and helps to protect against infections. Vitamin C helps heal cuts and wounds and keeps teeth and gums healthy. Vitamin C aids in iron absorption.
When you really weight the pros and cons of eating more vegetables, we will realize that there are more pros to contend with. Vegetables are so good for our body and mind, and although may not always feel like the most exciting things you eat, our body will definitely thank us.So, we should eat more vegetables to provide nutrition for our body that helps maintain health for our body.

For some people, eating unhealthy foods is a result of not knowing which ones are good or bad for them. As an example is misconception about food. We are all guilty of having a nice cheese or an handful of chocolates. Because these food are seen as calorific or bad for us in large quantities. As the result of this, we tend to only have them on special occasions.
ReplyDeleteFor others, it may be a primary emotional coping mechanism. Someone fills and kills stress, anger, boredom, loneliness, or something else with food. Remember no matter the emotion, having love affair with foods filled with fat, salt, and sugar is not a solution. A diet high in processed foods and low in vegetables has been associated with depression, whereas a diet high in fresh produce has been linked to an improvement in mental health.
Based on the explanation above, should we eat more vegetables?
There's clearly a long list of reasons to add more vegetables into our diet.
Eating vegetables provides health benefits – people who eat more vegetables and fruits as part of an overall healthy diet are likely to have a reduced risk of some chronic diseases. Vegetables provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of your body.
Most vegetables are naturally low in fat and calories. None have cholesterol. On the contrary, sauces or seasonings may add fat, calories, and/ or cholesterol.
Vegetables are important sources of many nutrients, including potassium, dietary fiber, folate (folic acid), vitamin A, and vitamin C. Diets rich in potassium may help to maintain healthy blood pressure.
Vegetable sources of potassium include sweet potatoes, white potatoes, white beans, tomato products (paste, sauce, and juice), beet greens, soybeans, lima beans, spinach, lentils, and kidney beans.
Dietary fiber from vegetables, as part of an overall healthy diet, helps reduce blood cholesterol levels and may lower risk of heart disease. Fiber is important for proper bowel function. It helps reduce constipation and diverticulosis. Fiber-containing foods such as vegetables help provide a feeling of fullness with fewer calories.
Folate (folic acid) helps the body form red blood cells. Women of childbearing age who may become pregnant should consume adequate folate from foods, and in addition 400 mcg of synthetic folic acid from fortified foods or supplements. This reduces the risk of neural tube defects, spina bifida, and anencephaly during fetal development.
Vitamin A keeps eyes and skin healthy and helps to protect against infections. Vitamin C helps heal cuts and wounds and keeps teeth and gums healthy. Vitamin C aids in iron absorption.
When you really weight the pros and cons of eating more vegetables, we will realize that there are more pros to contend with. Vegetables are so good for our body and mind, and although may not always feel like the most exciting things you eat, our body will definitely thank us.So, we should eat more vegetables to provide nutrition for our body that helps maintain health for our body.

Assalamualaikum Wr Wb, Thanks for the great article, i really like a vegetable than a meat but sometimes i eat a meat, im not a vegetarian but i like vegetable, for examples i like carrot juice because it can make my eye healthier, and i like tomato juice, and i love steamed broccoli because the texture is soft and a little bit crunchy, Thank you.

I personally really like to eat vegetables, especially green vegetables. I really agree with what was written in the article, vegetables are very good for the body. although many people don't like vegetables because of their bland and strange taste, we still need to eat vegetables for health. I myself felt the benefits of eating vegetables. My face had a breakout about 9 months, my doctor was advised to eat healthier foods such as vegetables and facial treatments as well. since then, not only my face, my body has gotten better.
